Accessing the Search Features
& Searching A Web Page

Overview:

Searches are run to find specific items in a web page. You can run a simple search, looking for a search term within in a single page, or you can run a more complex search, looking for various kinds of data in a web page. Or you can even search for just a portion of your search term.

Running a search is actually quite simple. You may use the following instructions based upon the web browser you are using. Web browser's features change from time to time and if needed additional instructions can often be found in your web browser's help section.

Internet Explorer (Microsoft):

Do the following:

From The Web Browser's toolbar Choose Edit > Find
> Then select Find On This Page...A Popup window will appear.
> Then type in your criteria in the field box.
> Then Click Next and look for your results (highlighted criteria).

HINT: To search for the next occurrence of your criteria click on Next and so on... You can continue to do this searching the entire page.

FireFox:

Do the following:

From The Web Browser's toolbar Choose Edit > Find
> Then select Find ...A popup toolbar will appear (usally towards the bottom).
> Then type in your criteria in the field box.
> Then Click Next and look for your results (highlighted criteria).

HINT: To search for the next occurrence of your criteria click on Next and so on... You can continue to do this searching the entire page.

Chrome (Google):

Do the following:

From The Web Browser's toolbar Choose the Page Icon (usually on the far right) > Find
> Then select Find in Page...A Popup window will appear.
> Then type in your criteria in the field box.
> Then press ENTER or Click one of the arrows next to the field box and look for your results (highlighted criteria).

HINT: To search for the next occurrence of your criteria click on one of the arrows and so on... You can continue to do this searching the entire page.
